The Scariest Verse in the Bible Doesn't Have to Frighten You. Here's How.

Notice what these people say to God, “Have we not?” Will that be you? Will you stand before God saying “Lord, did I not go to church, turn from my sins, be a good person, dedicate my life to you?”

Please spare 5 minutes and consider this:
Think of most religious, the most zealous about Jesus, the most dedicated to church, the most devoted to good works or selfless acts of kindness, who never curses, drinks, or has unmarried sex, who always wears modest clothing and prays every night, this person will bust Hell wide open if they never place their faith in Jesus Christ paying for their sins alone to save them; why?

MANY people are claiming Christ as savior BUT trusting in themselves or haven’t SOLELY trusted in God’s grace. It doesn’t matter that they try to be moral, it doesn’t matter they consider themselves a Christian; the fact remains that if they have not placed their belief, their faith, in the work of Jesus Christ alone to save them fully, then they are LOST!!!

Jesus said so himself:

Matthew 7:21-23
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Jesus said that MANY people will call him Lord but they will be denied Heaven because they did not do the will of the Father; notice what these people say to God, “Have we not?” Will that be you? Will you stand before God saying “Lord, did I not go to church, turn from my sins, be a good person, dedicate my life to you?”

If so, then Jesus is speaking to you. He finishes by saying he NEVER knew these folks, proving they were never saved. They didn’t lose eternal life; they never had it to begin with!

What is the will of the Father?

John 6:38-40:
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Jesus plainly says the will of his Father is to believe on him for everlasting life, therefore if someone has not believed then they are not saved! How does someone believe according to the Bible?

Romans 4:5:
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
To believe to be saved is to place your faith in Jesus Christ ALONE, how he paid for your sins on the cross, was buried and rose again the third day to save you completely by satisfying God’s wrath on sin. Once we do this we become justified (made righteous). This is what I believe because it’s what I’ve read in God’s clear word, and I know I’ll be in Heaven with Christ, not because what I do for him, but what he did for me.
